Dear HostMDS customer,

We are going to take the following steps to update PHP to deliver on improved performance and security across our hosting servers:

On Saturday June 5th, 2021, our web hosting platform will automatically upgrade our default PHP module to version 7.2 on all shared hosting servers.

Then Effective Sunday July 4th, 2021, the platform will remove all legacy PHP versions 7.1 and older for any users that have selected these versions using the PHP Manager.

 Visit https://www.php.net/ for additional information.

Users that have websites coded using these deprecated functions of PHP or outdated CMS versions are recommended to upgrade to the newest version ahead of time for better performance, increased security, greater reliability and support for modern web standards.

You can access PHP settings using PHP Manager in your Control Panel.

If your website is built on a CMS or uses functionality from a legacy version of PHP that is not updated prior to Sunday July 4th, 2021, there may be issues with your website. For detailed information on deprecated functionality, refer to Backward Incompatible Changes or Deprecated Features for the appropriate PHP version here: https://www.php.net/manual/en/appendices.php.

Please forward this message to your website developer.
